Tomassone Sergio, born in 1939, is the pillar of homonymous shop, selling guitars and stringed instruments, in the center of Bologna since 1954.
Considered the "guru of the guitar" in Italy, Sergio is internationally known in the most important guitars factories for his many collaborations in the '70s and '80s as well as being the official repairman for the leading global brands.
For his many years of cooperation with specialized magazines, he has been consecrated as a reference for musicians and fans of every generation.
The store is widely recognized as the first and most important shop in Italy, specialized in guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories for string instruments, and can boast an assortment like the larger American megastores.
The success of this guitar "temple" comes from a long experience that the Master has passed on to his sons, Davide and Giampaolo, who have contributed to achieving this business goal. This success results from several factors, such as a wide products availability, low prices, but especially the care both for the most demanding pro and the beginner.
In the shop, the smell of the tradition that oozes from the laboratory full of in repair instruments and the beautiful guitars collection displayed in the showroom are mixed with constant succession of new products for all budgets.
In 2006 the store moved from the first location in downtown Bologna to via Pier de' Crescenzi, still nearby the center.
The new location is in the same street of ALL FOR MUSIC, a new 1200 square meters structure organized into seven distinct areas, richly assorted, including keyboards, digital pianos, Pro & Home Recording, Computer Music, horns, drums and music editions, each one managed by a staff specialist. Particularly innovative, within this structure, is the stage that was set up to accommodate artists for product demonstrations, live performances and PA testings. ALL FOR MUSIC is designed to be integrated with the historical store, offering a 360 degrees service that meets the needs of all kinds of musicians.
